The Story
Two Decades of
Dedicated Craft
David Curtis didn't set out to build a furniture company. He set out to build something worthy of the spaces it would serve. Over twenty years ago, he began crafting acrylic church furniture — pulpits, lecterns, communion tables, and podiums — and never stopped.
What started as a craftsman's pursuit of the right material for sacred spaces evolved into something more: a direct-to-church business built on transparency, quality, and personal accountability. There is no factory floor, no fulfillment warehouse, no assembly line. There is David, his tools, his shop in the Jenison, Michigan, and the churches across America he builds for.
The choice of premium ½″ cast acrylic was intentional from the beginning. It is UV-stable, structurally strong, and brilliantly transparent — a material that commands attention in any sanctuary without overpowering it. Paired with solid red oak decorative add-ons, stained and finished to each customer's specification, every piece is as unique as the church it serves.
David Curtis Furniture was founded on a simple principle: if you are going to place a piece of furniture at the front of a church — where it will be seen by a congregation every single week — it had better be built right.
That means starting with quality raw materials. It means taking the time to edge-finish the acrylic properly, shape the red oak to tight tolerances, and apply a stain and clear coat that will hold up for decades. It means personally inspecting every piece before it is crated and shipped.
It means that when your piece arrives, David Curtis has already seen it, approved it, and stood behind it. That kind of accountability is rare in any industry. In church furniture, it is almost unheard of.
