David Curtis Furniture

Why Order
From Us

When your church invests in a pulpit, lectern, or communion table, you deserve to know exactly who built it, how it was built, and why it will serve your congregation for decades to come.

20

Two Decades of
Dedicated Craft

David Curtis has been building church furniture for over 20 years. Not as a side project. Not as one of many product lines. This is his craft, his calling, and his life's work. Every pulpit, every lectern, every communion table that leaves his shop has been touched by hands that have spent two decades perfecting this specific art.

When you order from David Curtis Furniture, you are not ordering from a warehouse, a factory floor, or a drop shipper. You are ordering directly from the craftsman who will personally cut, shape, assemble, and finish your piece before carefully crating it and shipping it to your door.

Our Process

Production Starts With Quality Raw Materials

"Production starts with quality raw materials."

Before a single piece of acrylic is cut or a joint is assembled, the process begins with hand-selecting quality materials. The decorative wood add-ons — bases and sideboards — are crafted from solid red oak, chosen for its tight grain, durability, and the way it takes a stain.

Each wood component is carefully shaped, sanded, stained to your specifications, and finished with a clear coat before being permanently attached to the acrylic structure. The result is a piece that combines the brilliant clarity of premium acrylic with the warmth and richness of real hardwood.

All solid red oak add-ons are finished in your choice of stain color, then sealed with a protective clear coat.

The Difference

Six Reasons Churches Choose David Curtis Furniture

01
Built to Order — Just for You
Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting to be sold. Every piece is built specifically for your order, to your specifications, after you place it. You are not getting someone else's return or a floor model — you are getting a piece built with your church in mind.
02
Direct From the Craftsman
There is no middleman, no distributor, no retail markup. You order directly from David Curtis — the same person who will build your piece. This means better pricing, better communication, and complete accountability from order to delivery.
03
20+ Years of Expertise
Two decades of building church furniture means David has seen and solved every challenge this work presents. The joinery is tight, the acrylic is properly edge-finished, the wood add-ons are fitted with precision. Experience shows in every detail.
04
Premium ½″ Acrylic
Not all acrylic is equal. David uses ½″ thick cast acrylic sheet — heavier, more rigid, and more durable than the thinner material used by budget manufacturers. It will not bow, flex, or look cheap standing at the front of your sanctuary.
05
Real Hardwood Add-Ons
The decorative wood components are solid red oak — not veneer, not MDF, not particle board. Each piece is sanded, stained to your color choice, and finished with a protective clear coat before being attached to the acrylic. Built to last as long as the church itself.
06
Nationwide Freight Delivery
Carefully crated via freight carrier to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. From Michigan to California, Florida to Maine — every piece is crated right and shipped right, arriving ready for your congregation.
